Birth Control Pills Help

Help ... I stopped taking the pill a few days after my BF and I had unprotrected which was during the time I was ovulating, I'm supposed to get my period on tomorrow the 10th but had light bleeding for 2 days the 5-6th can this be implatation bleeding or just my period being thrown off because I stoppedthe pills my period usually lasts 4 days never 2 days. Please can anyone help.

If you didn't stop them until several days after having intercourse, then you were still protected from getting pregnant. You do not ovulate while you are taking them, they actually work by prevention ovulation.

And yes, stopping them abruptly in the middle of the pack would most likely cause your period to be thrown off. When you're taking oral hormonal contraceptives, your period is actually brought on by withdrawal from the hormones, the pills for the week you have it don't have any hormones in them and the usual length of time it lasts may also change, since you stopped taking them.

You should double check all the information with your doctor, but what I am telling you is how it all normally works.

Thank you so much for your help my BF and I actually decided we where ready for me to get off them, and I guess got thrown off because I did have light bleedling for 2 days was supposed to get my period a few days ago and didn't now I'm having clear elasticky discharge I'm assuming that's due to me getting off the pill ?
