Betaseron Vs Birth Control Pills, Is It Possible?

My fiance has Multiple Sclerosis and has been inyecting herself with Betaseron for over a year now, I would like to know if it's possible for her to use birth control pills and if there are any counterindications when combined with the previous drug. Also, besides the obvious barrier methods and of course abstinence, is there any other birth control methods available to us as a couple? I did noticed this condition is suffered mainly by women, so I was surprised when I was not able to quickly find any info on the subject with a quick google search.

There are no medical professionals on this site and no one, even a doctor, who does not know all the details of her condition or her medication usage could recommend anything. I suggest she speak to her doctor to find out what the best solution is for her to use.
