I have been suffering from period pains ever since I started my menstrual cycle and now everytime I go to my periods, always on the first day I see brown blood so I want to know if this is normal and what can I take for these pains to stop because when ever I start having period pains, I take any and every pain reliever I can get my hands on at that moment . Yes, brown blood is normal, it's just a little that's been left-over from the prior month that didn't come out, so it got a bit old and discolored, but it's nothing to worry about.
As to the pain, what medications have you tried?
Have you considered seeing if you have something available to you such as Midol, or an equivalent? It may help, if your doctor approves of you trying it.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination.
