I was prescribed Benzonate for my cough while I had Bronchitis. It was not helpful at all and the over the counter medicine, Nyquil did a better job. Would not fill this medicine if prescribed to me again.

I was given Benzonate for a cough and have been taking it now for 5 days. I have not noticed any benefit, but have experienced the common side effects. I don't think I will continue to take it.

I was given this and its helped me to sleep thru the night. I still cough but to to the point of puking like I was before

For everyone's reference the corrected spelling of this medication is Benzonatate. It is often used as a non-narcotic cough suppressant and is said to last between 6 to 8 hours.
