I was pregnant with my daughter in 1974-75. My Dr. prescribed Bendectine because my nausea was so bad. I took it for 5 mo. A few yrs.later,it was taken off the market. I wasn't that concerned because my daughter seemed fine . She is now 35 yrs old and has recently been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian disorder and cannot have children without fertility treatment. She has not wanted children previously and always considered her irregular menstrual cycle a common thing. I recently remembered the Bendectin & the reports of infertile females born to the users of it. I felt I needed to report this.

I was prescribed Bendectine in 1974 when my daughter was 26 she had saevere headaches whichresulted insurgery to correct the blood flow in her brain a birth defect called avm

My mother took bendectin in 1981-82 for a few months. She claims she didn't take any other meds during the pregnancy, just vitamins. I have been experiencing PCOS symptoms since around 17. I also have crooked legs, a crooked spine, and an over active sympathetic nervous system. None of this is hereditary from what she told me.

Any one find reports of achalasia for the users of this drug.

I took bendectin after losing 10 lbs. in first trimester with first pregnancy in 1983. Daughter is fine. It was off the market in 1985 with my second pregnancy, in which I ended up hospitalized, on IV hydration and phenergan for another 10 lb. wt. loss in first trimester. This daughter has severe PCOS presenting at puberty, and an incomplete spina bifida. My feeling is that it is the lack of nutrition and not the bendectin that is at issue here.
