Could switching from the red colored pill to a white benazepril cause clay colored stool?

That could be the sign of a problem, so you need to report this to your doctor and have it checked out. Most blood pressure medications come with a warning to see your doctor immediately, if you develop clay colored stool.

The FDA classifies this medication as an ACE inhibitor and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
