Be Tab Prednisone

i HAVE A SERVE SKIN RASH i THINK IT IS JUST FROM STRESS BUT IS VERY ITCHY AND FORMS A CRUST OVER NECK, CHEST AND STOMACHE AREA. i HAVE BEEN GIVEN 5MG BE TAB PREDNISONE BUT IF I LOOK AT SIDE EFFECTS IT GIVES SKIN RASHES SO WILL THIS HELP ME OR MUST i STOP i HAVE ONLY TAKEN IT FOR ONE DAY SO FAR.

Hi Elaine,

From what I've read, itching and skin rashes are both listed as serious side effects of Prednisone. So if you're still unable to determine whether the cause is stress or medication related, it would still be wise to contact your doctor in the meantime just to play it safe. He/she may then suggest that you stop taking the medication until further notice.

When it comes to many of these types of side effects, you just never really know how severe they can become until it's too late. Having said that, I think it's always best to take preventative action and get it checked out sooner than later.
