Bayer Oval White And Yellow Tablet

coated oval tablet--thin white layer on to with
Bayer 81 + stamped on top---bottom 3/4 Th's is almost 'lemon' yellow color--found them in my med cabinet and would love to know what they are and are for.. Thanks Much....B

This would be an 81mg (low-dose) Aspirin tablet, commonly used as a blood thinner by people who've had clots and heart problems.
