What is the drug Barr 198 used for.
It's a large round white pill with a #3 on one side and Barr 198 on the other side.

This tablet contains 300mgs of Acetaminophen and 30mgs of Codeine, a generic for Tylenol with Codeine. This is a narcotic pain reliever.

Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there any significant difference between Codeine/Aceta. 30mg Barr 198 w/a 3 on the back tablets, and the tablet with a 100 and that funny looking R w/a tail just below the 100 and a 3 on the back?

Or is one just a generic?

I found some Barr 198/#3 pills in my backpack first aid kit. The pills have been in there for a number of years. Are these pills still ok to take? I understand that the potency might be less???
