Barmicil Compuesto For Impetigo

I am an adult woman who suffers from a bout of impetigo. If you don't know what impetigo is please look it up. I don't get it all the time. I'll get it about once every three years. But it lingers for months. And it spreads quickly. It usually starts at the corner of my nose and makes it way clockwise to my chin then back at the other corner. It's a horrible, scaly, puss filled rash. If u scratch it too bad you spread it. It's normally found in children. Maybe I carry a strain. I don't know. Anyway, I've been prescribed so many antibiotics and antibiotic ointments. None seem to work well. It seems like me leaving it alone works better for me. But this summer I got the darn rash again. It's a bit embarrassing. The girls are always trying to clean my face from lipstick stains. I have to push them away and tell them it's a contagious rash. Then they look at me like I AM contagious. Lol. Well my sisters who live in a border town told me about this Barmicil Compuesto cream that they use for every cut, bite, scratch, rash, and even pimples! I decided I should go ahead and try it. What will it hurt right? Well I too live in a small border town and I had to decide if I was going to make the trip to progreso Mexico or go to the flea market. I chose the flea market instead and by the grace of God there was a vendor who has everything u want. Prescription-only meds in the US, but stuff u don't need prescriptions for in Mexico. I asked her for 2 tubes of barmicil. They were $6 (in Mexico only $3) but it saved me a trip across the border. I applied a very thin layer on my face where the rash is at. And by morning the rash was drying up and not inflamed. I added another thin layer in the morning and left it alone throughout out the day. It's bed time now and I'm adding another thin layer and I can tell that it's healing nicely. The bumps are not as noticeable and my skin is looking nice again. I can't wait to try this on my sons acne.

I'm not sure what it is you're asking? Can you use barmicil with your current meds? I'm not sure. You'd need to ask your doctor. Or are you asking about impetigo?

Jenny, I would like to give you a word of caution about using it on your son's acne, one of the ingredients in it is a steroid, which can actually cause, or worsen acne as a side effect, according to the FDA. Thus, it may not be the best choice and you should likely double check with his doctor, before trying it.

Hi Jenny im from Córdoba, Veracruz México i have 27 years old, and i suffer from impetigo like you, I understand how difficult could be live with this im sick since 11 years old.
The only ointment that is 100% effective is called Cliobetnovate. I hope that helps you today i have impetigo and looking on the internet i find this post. Regards!
