Bad Side Effects From Lyrica

I am so upset about the Lyrica of 900 mg that I was on for six weeks. It has destroyed my life. I nearly killed myself, my husband and possibly people on the road because I became a missile behind the wheel of a car. I stop taking it immediately and following that I had the feeling of shards of glass in my feet which pain management did not explain nor address! I suffered from the second week of February and have become bed-bound since. It has gone from shards of glass to plantar fasciitis and now they are telling me that I have and trapped nerves in my feet. I cannot walk I am waiting on taking a test to specify exactly what nerve is entrapped. Now noticing I am having similar pain in my hands, I am choosing alternative medicine next week to have acupuncture because here in the state of Florida pain management is like being in the Wild West. I was a size 3-5 all my life and gained 40 pounds which was bad for my severe scoliosis with my rods in my back. I am praying that soon I get some sort of relief. Also had developed a cough and feeling of having the flu. I'm sure this medication affects everybody differently but please keep your eyes open to symptoms that you normally do not have.

Unfortunately, it can cause such issues in some people that take it, according to the NIH, due to the way it acts on brain chemicals, which is why it is also used in some people to treat mood disorders.

As to the problem with your feet, the weight gain and scoliosis being aggravated could also be contributing factors.

Are you on any other medications?
