I have swelling in my face on one side and feel like my ears are sounding like I'm in a tunnel and in pain. I have 10 pills. It says take twice a day. Also prescribed 5mg oxycodone tabs for pain. First day I felt fine after taking the Bratrim ds generic and the pain pills helped my pain. The second day i woke with a little more swelling and a headache and feeling a little nausea. Does this sound right and do the two meds go together alright? I also just have wanted to sleep all day today. Just wanting to know if this is normal?

Hello, Carmen! How are you? Has there been any change?
The general rule with antibiotics is that you shouldn't see any worsening after taking them for a full 24 hours. If you do, then that particular antibiotic may not be working for you and you need to see our doctor, again, so they can prescribe something else.
The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
