Bactrim Ds 800 160 Tab Brand Name Vs Generic

Hi. I have had an abcess and/or what seems to be and it was just starting so I began the generic Bactrim Ds 800 tabs and Cream & they do not help it. Would the Brand Name Bactrim pill & cream be better?

How long have you been taking it? It usually takes about 3 days to see an improvement, when taking an antibiotic.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
