Hello, Kelly! How are you? I am so sorry about the problem that you're having.
Bacterial vaginosis can be difficult to clear up, it does have a nasty habit of returning and the bacteria may have just spread to the bladder, as well.
And yes, multiple antibiotics like this are often prescribed, in such cases where an infection is treatment resistant and spreading. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, vaginal irritation and discharge.
