Azitromicina Cinfra Dose

Updated
I was given three 500mg tablets of azitromicina cinfa
written on box is comprimidos recubiertos con pelicula EFG by a dr in Spain 3-4 weeks ago
i took them as i was on holiday and had cold cough phlegm etc for two and half
weeks and couldn’t get rid of it so went to the dr in spain who perscribed the above
tablets. I have just noticed that i only took
two of the tablets there is still one in the box. I believe these are anti biotics so does this mean next time I need to take anti biotics they won’t work because i didn’t finish the course? Should I take this single tablet now three to four weeks later? i became quite well after taking the two tablets and I don’t take anti biotics often (if the these are anti biotics) hope you can advise thanks.

Thank you so much for replying. I didn’t realise I hadn’t taken it until about two and half weeks after I returned home to Uk, I brought the box home in case I ever had to mention what they were to my Dr and it was only then I realised there was still one in the box. I have since been to ask my local pharmacist about it, she said they don’t prescribe that particular antibiotic here in the UK so I will be fine if I have to take antibiotics in the future and she kindly dispossessed of the remaining tablet for me. I felt fine taking the tablets at the time and my infection cleared very quickly. I try not to take antibiotics but since I wasn’t well for almost three weeks and on holiday I felt I should get them in Spain so I will never know if time cured me or the two antibiotics! thanks very much regards. Jay
Yes, they are antibiotics, they contain the active ingredient Azithromycin, which is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.
And no, it doesn't mean that no antibiotics will work for you in the future, but you may have to try a different one, since this one might not work for you, again, until some time has passed.
I think you should consult your doctor, before deciding what to do with that remaining tablet, just to be safe.
Are you still feeling well, even though you didn't take it?
