Azithromycin Tooth Ache
UpdatedWill Azithromicina 500 mg work for impacted tooth as well?

Hi Johnny,
From what I could gather, Azithromycin is commonly prescribed for dental related infections. However if the tooth needs to be extracted (perhaps via root canal) due to decay or nerve damage, my understanding is that an antibiotic will only help for so long until you get the necessary procedure(s) done.
And to help address your other question about an impacted tooth, Azithromycin fights infections throughout your body and not just one specific area, so it really should cover all basis where an infection is present and not just a single tooth.
Have you already gone to the dentist for an evaluation?
