Az 266 White Pill
UpdatedAfter accusing my wife of taking prescription drugs without a prescription and then settling on a family friend who had recently been over, I found the AZ aspirin bottle the pill had come out of. It is probably aspirin.

Hi steppenwolf,
The closest match I've been able to find is a round yellow pill with the imprint A 266, it has been identified as Dipyridamole (50 mg). There is also a possibility that the pill is a (100 mg) Atenolol Tablet, but I haven't been able to confirm that identification.
Manufacturer: Actavis
National Drug Code (NDC): 52152-0266
Dipyridamole keeps blood clots from forming after some types of heart surgery. It is also used to prevent strokes and heart attacks. The modified release Dipyridamole is used in conjunction with aspirin (under the trade names Aggrenox in the USA or Asasantin Retard in the UK) in the secondary prevention of stroke and transient ischaemic attack. This practice has been confirmed by the ESPRIT trial.
Side effects:
Feeling unusually restless, tired, or weak.
Flushing (redness) in the face, or feeling warm.
Headache.
Mild muscle or joint pain, or numbness or tingling in your arms and legs.
Nausea, vomiting, or stomach upset.
Rash or itchy skin.

Thank you! I do NOT take prescription drugs so all this chatter about AZ 266 being some beta blocker etc was driving me crazy. I presumed it was aspirin or a similar over the counter medication but was looking for confirmation. The pills have been in my traveling pill bottle along with ibupropen for a few years. My vote is aspirin.
