can augmentin be used and still take my weekly methotrexate injection?

Augmentin contains Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid and while it can be taken with Methotrexate, the dosage does have to be carefully adjusted. The Augmentin tends to lower the excretion of the Methotrexate, which raises the levels in your body and can cause toxicity.
