Augmentin Vaginal Side Effects

6 days into a 7 day prescription for augmentin for tooth infection. Past 2 days have been experiencing vaginal discharge, itchiness, and now today swollen "lips". I read that was a "major" side effect of this med. I had the tooth pulled 3 days ago. I have 3 doses of meds left, can I stop them now due to side effects or do I need to finish it out??

Most antibiotics carry the risk of causing a yeast infection, as a side effect, according to the FDA. It is not a major side effect, in the fact that it isn't dangerous, but it is a very common one.

The best thing to do would be to finish the antibiotic and see your doctor, so they can confirm whether or not it is a yeast infection and prescribe the appropriate remedy, if necessary.
