Augmentin In Sebaceous Cyst

I have a sebaceous cyst near my navel. it appears redness; pain; yellowish colouration there. can I take augmentin to treat that infection?

This is an antibiotic, so it can treat various types of infections, but may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Has your doctor confirmed that this is a sebaceous cyst?

Hi, I have a Pilar cyst that has a smelling discharge, redness and swelling in the area on my right breast. The doctors after all tests, mammograms, Ultrasounds and blood tests of various types had confirmed it to be a cyst skin deep. Now since 3 weeks it has started discharge. I don't want to go through med examination again and the costs that come with it. By now on the 3rd week it's starting to reduce to a minimum and I'd like to know if I can take an antibiotic? If yes, which one will you suggest? I'm not allergic to any drugs that I know of. Plz advise asap.
