Attorney Law Suit Lyrica

I'm a Persian Gulf Vet. with PTSD & fibromyalgia which I'm sure was caused by exposure to siren gas.A month ago a Dr. put me on lyrica. I woke up the first A.M. after taking it & got out of bed & fell down. I'm having a hard time thinking & am very irritable. I can';t sleep ,which is a bad problem when you have PTSD. My muscles & bones hurt really bad since I took lyrica. I feel like I'm at my wits end. I despartly need some help. The V.A. is only giving me 30% disability for Ptsd,fibromyalgia,Hepatitis C , which I believe was caused by an accidental need stick from a wounded Iraqi EPW,. The unit Iwas with in Saudi was designated as an Iraqi EPW hospital. My suicidal thoughts havbeen much worse sinde taking lyrica.

Please tell your physician that you have thoughts of hurting yourself and you believe they are worse from Lyrica. Your physician would likely give you something else. He wouldnt want to be in trouble in the future if you tried to harm yourself while on something he or she gave you. I hope your physican will help you.

It is highly doubtful that such problems would be caused by Lyrica after having been on it for such a short period of time.

Or have you continued taking it, in spite of the problems?

Has a doctor confirmed that these problems were caused by the Lyrica?

Why is it so hard to believe that Lyrica could cause these side effects. I had a constant "high" feeling while on the Lyrica and I didn't even start the recommended 300mg daily dose the DR. told me to only 150 mgs a day. My PTSD seemed to be triggered right away i was in constant fight or flight mode. I became manic, I spent over $4000.00 in a week, bought a van after I left the nurologists office- they refused to help me get off the Lyrica. My doctor told me to keep taking it until I saw the nurologist, by that time I was having blackouts and posting pictures on dating sites on the internet even though I am married. I would never have done these things if I hadn't been given Lyrica a drug that I was told was safe- it was like meth. I have never before in my life felt such an instant want, need, or desire for a drug. I was truly addicted to the way it made me feel. But it was destroying my life!!! I had to stop taking it, I couldn't afford to keep taking it anymore!! I felt and looked like a drug addict, I had to crash eventually. I was talking to myself, doing strange things like karate, punching bags/ swinging swords around ect.. I am 34 yrs. old with two kids. I felt as though I could do anything that I wanted. I was invincible as long as I popped a pill. DANGER!!!!

From all that I have read and a year of severe depression which I now feel was due taking lyrica, I would say that was a bad call prescribing lyrica in your situation. Please learn all you can about side effects and drug ineractions. I took it for9 years and when I changed meds I feel like I woke up from a comatose state. Best of luck to you. Only you can take care of yourself.
