I'm on 10 mg but started experiencing mild fibrillation, slightly depressed and a feeling of exhaustion has been increasing over the last 2 years, but my G.P determined it is depression which I have had before in my life at times. Always recover. I'm a 78 year old woman. I take Citalopram 10mg each morning....no increase in energy; getting worse. Weakness is increasing over time...not improved on Citalopram.

You may need a dosage adjustment, or to try a different medication, not every drug works for everyone that tries it, unfortunately.
How long have you been taking it?
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.
