Hi, I came off 40mg atovastatin 2 weeks ago cold turkey. Ever since I've had this immense pressure in my head that only goes when I go to sleep, my eyes are also blurry. I had another eye test yesterday and they say my eyes are fine. Do u think this could be related withdrawel symptoms of coming off the atovastatin? The drs haven't got a clue. Thanks.

Hello, Louise! How are you?

Have you had any other symptoms, such as pain or headache, or just the feeling of pressure?

You can experience some withdrawal effects from stopping cold turkey, including rebound elevated cholesterol and possible blockages, as explained by the FDA. Your doctor does need to check this out for you.

Are you on any other medications?
