taking lipitor 20 then got another script for the above

Hi, Pam! I can see where this might be confusing.

Atorvastatin is just the active ingredient in Lipitor, so it's the generic for it, but is still the same medication.

This medication is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches.
