I have had a huge problem with the generic brands given to me at Walgreens. I switched to Walgreens about a month ago because of location- a HUGE mistake. I was given Sandoz Ativan which seems very less effective. There was also a generic given for my depression med, but that is not what this thread is about. After a week of feeling bad I went back to CVS and have been waiting for the Sandoz ativan refill to run out so I can get back to Ativan made by Milan. CVS was very helpful about helping me transfer back to them and talked to my insurance about not charging me for the other brands I was on for that week at Walgreens. I have learned all generics are not the same and if you are sensitive to medication then be aware of the generic brands you are given. I learned the hard way to stick with CVS, they have been sticking with the same generic brands for at least the 10 years I have been going to them. Good luck! I can not wait to get my next refill with my usual brand of ativan that I do best with.
They say that active ingredients in generic medications can range from 20% more or less than what might be found in a brand name (courtesy of the FDA). Perhaps the Adderall from core pharmacy could've contained 20% less amphetamines than what you were used to?
It could also be that each pill had a different set on inactive ingredients. Generally these additives and fillers play a big role as to how well the tablet is absorbed into your system. Many fillers, such as gluten or cellulose (fiber) cause these pills to just pass through people's systems without getting fully absorbed or properly utilized, for lack of a better term.
Did you end up having the pills lab tested for accuracy?
