Ask About My Thyroid

i have been taken thyronorm (thyroxin 100) 100mg for past 3yrs but i have no idea ,which type of my thyroid disease means its hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism?. please define this.

Hyperthyroidism simply means your thyroid makes too much thyroid hormone. Your thyroid is a gland in the front of your neck. It controls your metabolism, which is how your body turns food into energy. It also affects your heart, muscles, bones, and cholesterol.

Having too much thyroid hormone can make a lot of things in your body speed up. You may lose weight quickly, have a fast heartbeat, sweat a lot, or feel nervous and moody. Or you may have no symptoms at all.

Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) early symptoms can include: Being more sensitive to cold; Constipation; Depression; Fatigue or feeling slowed down; Heavier menstrual period; Joint or muscle pain;
Paleness or dry skin; Thin, brittle hair or fingernails;
Weakness; Weight gain (unintentional).
