Arithromycin With Alcohol

is it ok to take a limited amount of alcohol while taking arithromycin?

Based on the spelling provided I did not find an exact medication with the name Arithromycin. I did find two antibiotics with a similar spelling, so please double check to see which one you have: Either Azithromycin or Erythromycin were the two possibilities.

Some research indicated that alcohol is not expected to have a major interaction with either of the above antibiotics, however it may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. According to Pfizer "The physiological
impact of alcohol consumption on the body, depending on the quantity, may reduce the immune response to infections and make the condition more difficult to treat. Dehydration coupled with the impact on normal liver function will also complicate treatment."
