See the page on Alendronate - it should have the information you're looking for on this drug...
recently purchased Apodrolen(alendronato) for Fosamax, in Mexico, is this safe to take for bone loss?
Phyllis, please see your doctor or pharmacist to ask that question, since it is a Mexican drug, there are chances that it is impure, dangerous, or etc. Since they are not regulated like drugs in the US are, so your only safe bet would be to consult a professional who might know a little more about the med and the manufacturer.
Since we want to do everything we can to support the US drug companies and protect their insane profits please don't take Mexican drugs because they might have side effects which could be dangerous unlike American drugs??
I bought this medicine at a pharmacy recommended by Americans who live in border cities near Mexico. Merck has a manufacturing plant very near. We know many of our US companies who want our support of US companies send their manufacturing down to Mexico.
I think what is very important is to find a reputable pharmacist or doctor in another country. That can be found by following their clients' (your friends) recommendations.
