Any Side Effects Of The Rocephin Shot (Page 5) (Top voted first)

I have had bad pain in the upper part of my leg and my hip since I got the rocephin shot. My leg got so sore about 2 hours after the shot, that I could barly walk on it. Now it hurts constantly and it catches and shots pain at where I sit down and stand up. I can hardly walk on my leg. I am wondering is this suppose to happen after this shot. I didn't have this before.

I use to nurse. Most likely you were given rocephin. It's usually given intravenously for about 3 days. Are you still hurting now? If it's not given right, they may have hit ur sciatic nerve. Hope this helps Beth.

I am having severe hip pain after more than a year from rocephin shot. It seems like the bone on my hip is ruined from it

My son is 11 years old and is home but on that side is swollen and red and I'm so worried about him he said it really hurts and for the first two days in bed he could hardly walk or anything and now it's so swollen and red and it's hot to the touch what do I do I'm so worried

So it's been 3 1/2 months and my symptoms are still gone. I believe it was the Turmeric that helped me. I was literally on a cane after my Rocephin shot. Let me know if it works for you. See my posts from earlier.

My husband also had the same reaction and he got his two months ago and is still having problems along with mounting doctor bills and a CT scan and on going appointments. is pain is chronic and at times very high level of pain. It has really limited his mobility and he was a very active man.

How long did you experience this problem? I've had several of these shots and this is the first time I've ever experienced problems, numbness and pain below the inj. site.

So sorry your daughter is in pain. To help you understand, you can only give a certain amount of the dosage in one muscle for children; typically they have 1-3 inj's. to complete the Md ordered dosage. It is common to have pain in that muscle for a few days.

I had this shot for strep throat 2 months ago and now when I bend over my back and hips hurt as well

I had the same problem after rocephin shot on 2012 in the butt/hip area. Symptoms got better but still I can not run or do hard physical activity.

I had a rocephin shot today and it hurt and burned badly at the injection site for at least 4 hrs straight. It has finally stopped. I had a steroid shot on the other side today as well..

I just got a shot In My Butt Yesterday , and it hurt while i got the shot ... but after like 5 Mins It Stopped so Like two Hours Later It started paining Really Bad , can barely walk , it hurts To lay on it , sit on it ... its the next day and it still hurts Really Bad .. ive tried ibuprofen And Tylenols Thats No help so at this point i dont know what to do for The pain im only 14.

I got the pneumonia shot in my upper left arm yesterday Thursday, April 13. My arm was sore all day and hurt to lift, but I expected that after a shot.
When I woke up this morning, I felt like I had been hit by a bus! My entire left side hurts her horiffically . I can hardly walk I can barely move I cannot get comfortable. Whether I attempt walking or I'm laying on my bed, I am miserable.
I'm really hoping somebody else out there experienced something this severe, only so that I can know it's a side effect from the shot – NOT because I want anybody else to be experiencing this pain, and then had it go away.
If so, please let me know! God

I want in on the legal cases well!! I've had symptoms ever since I got the shot 3 years ago. They are confirmed and they are not pre-existing conditions. I'm speaking with a lawyer tomorrow

I had my third shot today. They aren't much fun. I have been fighting an UTI For two months. Hopefully this will work, and not cause more problems.

They are not suppose to administer that shot in the arm. Its to thick. Has to be in a meaty muscle area such as the thigh or buttocks

It’s been 12 months since I had the shot and I still have a large lump under my skin where i was given the injection. There is also a dip in the skin directly above the lump.... I’ve had multiple doctors look at it and they all seem confused when I tell them that I received the shot a year ago... It causes slight but tolerable pain that radiates down my leg and has ever since the shot. It definitely doesn’t seem normal for a simple antibiotic shot, an entire year later.
