Antibiotic Help

I have been prescribed this (amox tr-k clv) for an outbreak of boils....I had the same outbreak 3 yrs ago and the doc said (without testing) that it could be MRSA. (My son actually did have MRSA at the same time this was going on). Will this stuff work if in fact it is MRSA?

Usually, a combination of antibiotics is given for MRSA, a person is usually prescribed 2 of them.

Did your doctor culture a boil? That's really the only way to find out if it's MRSA.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
