Hi, I've been ill with cough and sore throat symptoms so far the medication that I've been taking has somewhat reduced it, but doesn't go away. A family member gave me these capsules by the name of Ampitrexyl 500 mg, a Mexican natural herb antibiotic. I'm allergic to penicillin would this herb contain penicillin?

It does not contain any penicillin. If you are on blood pressure medicine or blood thinners do not take as it can lower blood pressure and thin blood.
There is info on the main ingredient andrographis/andrographitis on WebMD. Hope it helps.

That is true about the blood pressure issue, but for me that's a good thing. I just started taking Ampitrexyl yesterday and it really helps. I'm borderline hypertension with oral inflammation but it helped reduce both.
