Amoxicilline 500mg

Can a 12 yrs old take 500 mg amoxicilline for tooth ache and swollen gum and how many mg /day ?

They should take it as prescribed by their doctor or dentist.

This is an antibiotic and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

If it has not been prescribed for them, they should see their dentist, to make sure that an appropriate antibiotic is prescribed and to make sure that the underlying cause of the toothache is treated and corrected.
