Amoxicillin Is A Safe During Pregnant

10 weeks pregnant. Have a terrible cold. Today my ears are ringing and hurting. Is it OK to take amoxicillin 500 mg. I did not have a chance to see my doctor today. Me pain started like 2 ours ago. Please help.

Hello, Marce! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're sick.

If all of your symptoms are just due to a cold, then Amoxicillin won't help. It only treats bacterial infections.

And, since you are pregnant, it's very important that you see your doctor for a proper diagnosis, before you take anything. Otherwise, you could place both you and your baby at risk.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
