Amoxicillin For Bronchitis

I have bronchitis. I was given amoxicillin a week ago to take for dental work and I still have 16 left. Can i take this?

Why didn't you finish the antibiotic prescription for the dental work? Not doing so creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistance as explained in various NIH research articles.

As to taking it for the bronchitis, it depends on how severe it is and whether or not it is bacterial in origin. It would be best to see your doctor to make sure an appropriate medication is prescribed, if one is necessary.

The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
