According to the information provided by the FDA, antibiotics can cause nausea, as a side effect, along with dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

However, the concern, of course, is that he may not be keeping enough down to treat the infection. Have you consulted his doctor? He might need to switch him to a different antibiotic.
