if this medicine does cause drowsiness , how long does a person usually feel drowsy ? thanks

I'm sorry, but there's no definitive answer for this question. It depends on the person, some people may not experience side effects, as all, while some may experience all of them for the full duration of treatment.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as also possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhea.
