Amox Tr K Clv Allergic Reaction

I was on this for 9 days when I had a reaction, go into the sun and break out in large red areas, bumps, itching, and my face started swelling on any area the sun was on. Went to the Emergency room they said it's probable an allergic reaction to the medication. They told me to stop taking it and they gave me Benadryl and a few other meds. This was on Friday early evening, my question is how long will I still break out in this red itching rash because it is now Sunday and I still can't be out in the sun?

Hi, Dawn! Very sorry about what you've been through.

And unfortunately, if it's an allergic reaction, it may take a month or so for it to completely settle down. I suffered one last year myself and it kept me miserable for a little over a month.

Have you tried using a strong sunscreen? That may help prevent it, but there's no way to say for sure.
