Amox Tr K Clv 875 125mg And Advil Cold & Sinus Medication Together?

I am on my first day of amox tr k clv 875-125 mg for a ten day course to treat a cold. The runny nose and coughing is making it hard to sleep and get the needed rest. Can I take Advil Cold and Sinus medication while taking Amox Tr K CLV 875-125 mg? Thanks.

However, this is an antibiotic and will do nothing to treat a cold. Antibiotics are only effective against bacteria and a cold is caused by a virus. And actually, taking it when it is not appropriate and needed could cause you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria.

Did your doctor prescribe it?

And no, the antibiotic shouldn't be taken with the Ibuprofen in the Advil Cold & Sinus, because they can both increase the available levels of the other in your body, which could result in overdose.
