I have an infected Boil on my neck and more Boils beneath the skin in my neck. Was prescribed Amoxicillin 875/ Clav K 125. 20 x 2 per day from the VA ER. ER doc told me to follow up with Primary Dr.
Can someone please tell what causes Boils on the neck area? What causes Boils? I'm a little freaked out, is this serious and can lead to something else? If so, what am I looking at? I really really appreciate any advice.

This contains 875mgs of Amoxicillin and 125mgs of Clavulanic Acid, it is a generic for the antibiotic Augmentin, it is used to treat various types of infections.
