Amox Clav. And Doxycycline

I took my daughter to the docters to get a infected finger looked at they gave me amox clav 500mg( she never took them cause finger healed )now she was persribed two days ago azithromycin for sickness 250mg. Which she is taking. I went to the hospital today for same sickness and my husband is showing signs now that he is getten it . they gave me doxycycline hyclate 100mg. Can i give that to my husband and take her amox clav so we dont have to make a third trip to the docters .she is showing signs of improvement its been two weeks being sick and hes just starting to get sick i want to nip it in the butt before it really starts

I would be remiss to not inform you that it is illegal for any person to take the medication that is prescribed to another, even if it's a family member.

Aside from the legal aspect it's always a good idea to jump through the hurdle of getting each person checked out at the doctors office. Even though you say your husband is showing signs of the same sickness, it could very well be completely different and potentially more dangerous. I understand the desire to save time and money on medication but it is my personal opinion that a persons health is nothing to cut corners on.

I do apologize for not giving you the answer you were looking for but it's what I have to do.
