Amitriptyline Hydrochloride 25 Mg

I have not taken this yet and it has been prescribed if my peripheral neuropathy does not improve with the Lyrica, my hands are the worse with osteo in them as well.. I have gained 14 pounds and went from a 36 to a 38 in 6 weeks....How have you found taking amitriptyline and have you gained any or much weight?

Both of these medications carry the risk of causing weight gain, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes.

How long have you been taking the Lyrica? Are you on any other medications?

I have been taking Lyrica for just over 3 months and my dosage has been reduced from 600 mg to 450-300 as I need. It has made a small difference. Some days I just bloat up for no reason and I have balanced out with the weight. I'm not happy about the big belly, yet the trade off is worth it because the pain was not fun. I also take 300 mg time release- Tridural for my arthritis from my left knee which requires replacing, not yet though and the Tridural is also for my hand pain. Osteo/rheumatoid arthritis and the peripheral neuropathy. Erectile dysfunction is a bit worse, but the libido is still there.
