Altevia And Synthroid Time Between To Take Pills

I just started taking both of these pills and I need to know how long to wait to take the other pill. Both pills are to be taken on an empty stomach and first thing in the morning. Plus I need to take calcium for the osteopenia.

Hi Jolene,

Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Atelvia (risedronate) and Synthroid (levothyroxine sodium). So with that in mind, I don't think there would be any problems taking the two tablets at once or within the same time-frame.

You are right about food though. It should be avoided at the time of your dosing, since it can supposedly diminish the absorption of each medication.
