Alcohol And Pravastatin

So I understand that moderate drinking - ~two drinks for a man - is ok with pravastatin. That usually works for me - but not always - sometimes I drink more. So my question is, if I have had more than a couple of drinks should I skip the pravastatin for that evening? My cholesterol without statins is borderline, with the prav it is ~150. No history of cardio problems. No liver problems.

It doesn't make it dangerous to take this medication, but it can intensify the side effects. Thus, you may get more drowsy, dizzy and nauseous than usual. Basically it could make one drink affect you as if you'd have 2 and so on. You need to be careful and make sure that you're not driving or anything.

And you should not imbibe, unless your doctor has said that it is safe for you to do so.
