Alamin Forte Capsule Prescription

Dear Sir,
My wife was prescribed this twice a day after MacDonald Cerclage. Is it for increasing amniotic liquid/fluid? She discontinued it after suffering from depression. She had a little less amniotic fluid as found after sonography post surgery. Pls. answer and help.

No, this is not used to increase amniotic fluid.

Alamin Forte is a supplement, however, since it contains Folic Acid, it is very good for the baby, as if the mother does not have enough, they can be born with birth defects.

The full ingredients are:

calcium pantothenate 5 mg, folic acid 0.5 mg, 5- hydroxyanthranilic acid 0.2 mg, L-isoleucine 5.9 mg, L-leucine 18.3 mg, L-lysine hydrochloride 25 mg, L-methionine 18.4 mg, L-phenylalanine 5 mg, L-threonine 8.3 mg, L-tryptophan 10.1 mg, L-valine 6.7 mg, nicotinamide 25 mg, vitamin A 2500 iu, vitamin B1 5 mg, vitamin B12 2.5 mcg, vitamin B2 3 mcg, vitamin B6 1.5 mg, vitamin C 37.5 mg, vitamin D 200 iu, vitamin E 7.5 iu
