Laminectomies L4,5,6 Cervical plate-6screws Ilieostomy gastroplasty Fibromyalgia Osteoporosis w/left knee replacement Renal failure w/recovery Cardiac loop recorder: I am listed as a critical chronic ill patient on med records;recent bldwork indicated presence of drug I did not take or have at my disposal and dr prescribing pain med,Lyrica and Flexril dismissed me. I realize that paperwork is paperwork, my word is mine. Would it be more advantageous to ask GP to consider pain management control or assist me in locating another pmgtspecialist?

Hi, Sissy! Sorry about the problem you've had and the pain you've been in, that's awful and no one should have to suffer like this.

And yes, seeing if your GP can help in some way would be the best the thing to do in this situation. Once such a thing is in your medical records, finding a doctor that will accept you as a patient is going to be very difficult and they may be able to pave the way for you, so to speak.

Do you currently have a regular GP that you can talk to about it?
