Alabama. Adderal

A 22year old is prescripted adderal. It makes her on highs and lows. At times she is very violent and hurts people . This weekend she attacked her father and boy friend. She was also drinking . She invited about 60 people that she didn't know many to a party on a waterway n y
The woods. She is my granddaughter and I love her dearly.

Hello, Norma! How are you? I'm so very sorry about the problems your granddaughter is having.

Adderall is a stimulant, so it has been known to cause that type of behavior in some people that take it. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, weight loss, insomnia and anorexia.

She may be taking too much, or it might not be the right medication for her.

As to combining it with alcohol, that is also dangerous, since alcohol is a depressant and she's taking a stimulant. That can have some bad effects on the body and mood.

Has anyone informed her doctor about these issues? They need to know.
