Aggitated

I was given 15 Mg MS CONTIN. About 4 hrs after taking it I feel extremely agitated. grrrrrr!!! I was prescribed this 2 days ago. I take it for hand and arm pain 1 pill every 12 hrs. Little bit of pain still not so bad but this irritated aggravated feeling is making me want to climb the walls. Does it ever go away? Please help in away way to even possibly give me some ideas that alleviated this agitation or how to deal. Thank you.

Interestingly enough, "agitation" is listed as a general side effect of MS Contin (controlled-release morphine).

Usually in cases like this, the side effects wont necessarily go away until you stop taking what's causing them in the first place. There's not really a supplement that comes to mind that can help you stop feeling angry or agitated. Morphine in and of itself seems to have a lot of these mood changing side effects. So it may just be best to go ahead & talk to your doctor about trying a different type of pain medication in hopes of finding one that you respond better to.
