did you test positive for methamphetamine because you took adderall xr, for example? I'm wondering if this is possible because I tested positive for meth also, but I've never touched the stuff. I do take prescribed adderall xr though.

I went to pain doctor and showed positive for meth and I never touched it I do take adderal 30mg and she refused to give me my pain medication its not fair.

We know that at least SANDOZ Adderall IR 30mg tests positive for methamphetamine. The drug company logo is EON, but SANDOZ (the company that gave us the only weapons we had in the 1970s against migraine and tension headaches), old and reputable, now makes only generics. I can't speak for other Sandoz Adderall generics, but this one is common knowledge among the psychiatric community. The inscribed code is EON #03. Your so-called "pain doctor" is a moron!

Someone please Please help me. I am in a custody battle and my nail test came back positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. I have been prescribed 30 mg adderall twice a day for over 5 years. I received an email from a court assigned guardian ad litem today while I was driving my daughter home from school that said I must vacate my home, have no contact with my 7 year old daughter, and check myself into a rehab immediately. I HAVE NEVER DONE DRUGS ... EVER! I have never even seen an illegal drug before in my life! I work in alcohol and drug prevention. I am about to lose my daughter, my career, and my reputation. I'm so devastated. My divorce attorney is treating me as if I am a closet druggie and telling me to list cold medication and Vicks inhalers but I haven't used any cold medications. I will not lie because I have nothing to hide. There has to be someone or something that I can do to prove my innocence. If I lose my daughter, I will die. I am trying to be strong but I'm on the verge of giving up on life here. This is simply not fair. Has anyone ever heard of generic adderall causing a false positive for methamphetamine and what can I do to prove my innocence?! Please help me. You would literally be saving my life. I beg you.

I haven't heard this about OTHER Sandoz Adderall generics, but there 30mg IR tab — EON 3o3 — is fairly well know. Could you get your prescriber to write a note verifying that you're on Sandoz generic Adderall IR 30mg (Code: EON 303) and that it has been rerouted in the literature and anecdotally that this particular generic often causes pos bloods for meth? You'd have to be OK with his explaining WHY you';re taking Adderall to make it more forceful.

I travel over 3 counties worth of schools to implement A & D prevention programs. I like to support local pharmacies so I use 3 different pharmacies depending upon where I happen to be traveling when I have time to fill my prescription. I am gathering all pharmacy records I also had one of the doctors at my work print out all of my prescription info from the prescription monitoring program which is somewhat new in Mississippi. Sometimes my adderall is pink... Sometimes orange… Sometimes peach… Sometimes around… Sometimes oval… It just varies so much. I asked the lab to run a D and L Isommer test. However, the results will not arrive until Tuesday of next week I simply do not know what to do. It is like I am living in a nightmare

Good for you. But get your doctor to write a brief letter explaining what your Ddx is and its code and the meds you are taking (Sandoz Adderall) can and have shown false positive results for meth. Make it brief and probably sign a release or have the doc note it on his record. Printing out all those scripts might not be a good idea in case someone gets a bug up his ass and notes, "That's not a Sandoz product." However, most prints for the patient's use list just the drug or generic name. (and you can truthfully say Sandoz owns many smaller generic houses without lying) so you're probably good. My Mom asked to help out as gay teacher who was becoming annoying to the Schoo Board by pointing out instances of homophobia. I met the boy at a function; he asked me to dance. (That's cool; I'm gay) I had to refer this to my attorney, a Manhattan DA Bureau Chief and the EEOC. ADAs, even Bureau Cheifs, are permitted to have private practices as long as they're not in the same area as their public positions. Anne supervised Sex Crimes (it never did get changed to SVU; the cops units did, though) and with a few of her friends, obtained a couple of Federal Court Orders from a judge whose son is gay (he was my patient; Dad said, "Btw, it's not that I don't trust you with Joey Jr., it's that I don't trust Joey Jr, with you — just for the record) and said he'd be happy to put the whole school board and central administration in jail for contempt if they didn't comply. He didn't specifically state, "except the Deputy Supt, Dr. JP -- my Mom - but she'd comply regardless." Now, Sandoz and its subsidiaries make a TON of generics; make use of that. There's nothing like documentary evidence and letters from medical specialists to defuse this bulls***. Good luck, my dear!

So adderall is in the drug classification of Meth-amphetamines. But it think also the drug test looks for amphetamines separately. But if you were taking adderall daily it may have had a reaction with an over the counter drug and the combination produced a positive result for Meth.

A lot of rapid panel tests base a positive methamphetamine result on too much amphetamine for someone to be legal prescribed. When the results a read I havent seen it but think theres one space and a normal dose of addderall will show up as amphetamine and an abuse dose will show up as methamphetamine....pretty much any amount of methamphetamine use would put that amount of amphetamines in ur urine. I found this out when my doctor read my test and asked what hospital do you want to be hospitalized and Im like wtf you talking about. He didnt ask any further questions ran out had a doctor do a different type of test came back and said sorry. My sample was 100% synthetic clean I was dirty but one whole crushed up and filtered to a liquid 30 mg adderrall came back on his test of choice as methamphetamine. I dont know of a safe amount of adderrall to put in clean urine to not go over the threshhold.
