Where are earth are you folks located that you can get Adderall for under $100 for a 30 day supply? I'm in NC Piedmont triad and appalled that drug companies can increase their prices by location. I've been using 2 tabs Adderall XR daily for 5 years; it costs me $277 each month. I have no insurance, but my husband's income exceeds the approved amount for financial help. I tried going off this medication and being without it was unbearable. I have printed off the card and hope to try it the next time I need a script.

Beach Girl: My doctor came up with a "cocktail" of 2 meds that he says are the same as Adderall. They are Vyvanse and Ritalin. You can get Vyvanse free thru patient assistance, and Ritalin costs $4 at WalMart.

If your doctor will go along with this is should save you money. Good luck!

@Beach Girl - I am also in NC - Triad area. I didn't know about the discount cards until I came across this forum and read others responses. I thought "what the Hell, why not try it.. worst they can do is tell me 'No they won't honor the cards'.." but they did. It doesn't hurt to ask your pharmacy, in this case I used CVS although others have reported that Walgreens offers the better deal.

Melaine: Can I ask what location you went to? Cross streets and city will work. I have been getting it from Sams for 238.00 for 60 caps (I have to take 2 per day) Cash patient also and unemployed. I would like to see if I can get this for 170.00 a month or less if possible. I am about to go to 6 month rotations with my doctor and I am hoping they will take 90 day and 180 scripts on this.

Sams Plus membership. And I got a 40 dollar credit this month. Worth the extra 50 bucks on membership fee. And you get quarterly coupons and hidden in store sales even you dont know about. Not pumping walmart or sams but in the end the savings credits coupons and 8% discount on my all adderall, I got my membership paid for 50 bucks in my pocket and bigger discounts on stuff I bought anyway. I tried calling every CVS in the Triad and its corp offices and never could find information. My local store had no idea.

I normally pay $300+ a month for 60 30mg Adderall XRs made by Teva. I found a coupon for a different pharmacy that brought the price down to $149. They were a different manufacture than my normal goods but the coupon definitely worked a few days ago when I got my RX filled..

I don't know which medications it covers exactly, but it's certainly worth trying among other options out there.

Get a Costco membership! fyi, I was given my first script for 10mg XR a week ago. I called my local pharmacy and they told me $215 for generic (30 count). I called Costco and they quoted $110 for the same med. Nearly a 50% savings! I've been blindly using my local pharmacy for years because I never thought a wholesale club would be much less. Well, for this med it was WAY cheaper. The other wholesale clubs may also have lower prices...

Don't waste your time pparx.org - does not list Adderall. The site can not locate the drug at all and when you use the other drug option it comes back telling you there are no programs. Shire the manufacturer of Adderall XR nor Teva the manufacturer of the tablet and the generic XR have programs unless you are a gastrolintestinal patient. Throug hall of my searching I think those of us that need our Adderall and can't afford it are up a creek.

I search ADHD boards all the time and look for info on my issues. I never post anything helpful... I read the above info and tried it out and to my amazement it is really true. I was able to find my rx for $120 cheaper using that card. Not only does it work for Adderall XR but other things as well. If you don't use it your over paying.

The manufacturer for adderall is shire and what i did was get online locate their website and get an email address. i told them i could not afford it and asked if they had anything to help and they sent me coupons in the mail. and when i say coupon i mean they sent me 3 free 30-capsule vouchers thats 3 months free! hope this helps

Obamacare is not a done deal and has nothing to do with the price of your Adderall! Seriously check the facts before you speak. If every one has insurance we won't be paying for all the people who chose to just go to the emergency room and then leave the rest of us with the bill! Also prescriptions in the US are higher than all other Westernized countries. Don't you think it's time to deal with that?

There's a debate over the value of paying up for the name brand over the possibly lesser quality of the cheaper generic version. It's a valid debate . . . except here. Why? Because right now when you buy generic Adderall XR you're actually getting name brand Adderall XR from Shire. Shire is until 2014 under contract to supply Impax and Teva with generic Adderall while those pursue approval of their own generic.

btw- Impax pays Shire royalties on their generic sales so Shire continues to make something no matter who's selling Adderall. The generics naturally have to add the royalties to their cost of sales which gets passed on to . . . you guessed it . . . us. We pay more so that Shire can make more. What's that about us having by far the highest drug prices?
