UpdatedI just started taking Adco fem 35 Iv never used any birth control pills before. How long must I wait for the pills to be effective? As I was told 7 days.

If you start them the first or second day of your period, you'll be protected immediately. If you start them at any point later in your cycle, then it will take a full days. That means no unprotect intercourse, until the 8th day.
